CANTON, N.Y. — The No. 4 Cornell women's hockey team picked up its fourth tie of the season with a 1-1 deadlock with St. Lawrence on Friday night. Freshman forward Hanna Bunton scored the tying goal with 5:59 remaining in regulation for the Big Red (14-3-4).

The Big Red recorded 52 shots on goal for the first time since last year's NCAA quarterfinal game against Boston University. Jenna Marks scored the first goal of the game at 12:23 in the first period for the Saints, but that was the only shot to elude Cornell freshman goaltender Paula Voorheis on the night. She made 20 saves and is 3-1-1 on the season.

Carmen MacDonald had 51 saves for St. Lawrence (6-14-3).

The Big Red continues the weekend in the North Country when it faces No. 6 Clarkson at 4 p.m. Saturday at Cheel Arena.
