ITHACA, N.Y. – The women's tennis team fell to 0-4 in Ivy League play on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to 59th-ranked Yale at Reis Tennis Center.
Freshman
Alexandra D'Ascenzo accounted for the Big Red's lone point with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles. She improved to 10-3 in dual-match singles contests this season.
Yale (10-8, 2-1 Ivy) started the day by winning the doubles point by taking a pair of close 8-6 decisions at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. The Big Red's No. 2 pairing of junior

Christy Kung was leading its match, 7-6, when play was halted with Yale already securing the opening point.
Five of the six singles matches were decided in straight sets. Frazier took Sherry Li to a third-set super tiebreaker at the No. 5 spot.
Cornell is back in action at noon Sunday with a home match against Brown at Reis Tennis Center.
