PULASKI, Tenn. — Max King '02, an Ivy League Heptagonals steeplechase champion and captain of the track team in his time at Cornell, took first place in the Warrior Dash World Championship on Oct. 10.
The Warrior Dash is a 5K obstacle course race that sends runners over walls and through mud pits. King, who took home his second consecutive first place finish, was awarded a prize of $30,000. The race's $100,000 purse is the largest prize in non-track 5K history.
King finished the course in 27:52.45, ahead of approximately 500 other participants.
