Box Score (PDF)

POTSDAM, N.Y. --- Cornell women's hockey had to settle for a weekend split with No. 5/6 Clarkson taking a 4-0 victory over the Big Red in Cheel Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Junior goaltender Paula Voorheis stopped all 15 shots that came her way in the first period, while Cornell managed only one attempt on frame at the other end.

The Golden Knights' offense struck three times in the second, beginning with Loren Gabel's breakaway goal at 4:13. ECAC Hockey leading scorer Cayley Mercer doubled Clarkson's lead less than three minutes later, and netted another before the period was over to give the Golden Knights a 3-0 advantage through two.

Clarkson's final goal came on a power play in a third period, with Rhyen McGill deflecting in Gabel's shot at 11:37.

Voorheis made 33 saves on the night. The Big Red will break for the holidays and will return to action on Jan. 8 at Harvard.
