ITHACA, N.Y. — The men's tennis team rolled to its third consecutive Ivy League victory on Sunday with a 5-2 win over Yale at Reis Tennis Center.
Cornell (11-7, 3-2), which is tabbed 51st in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings, got a victory from sophomores
Bernardo Casares Rosa and
Chris Vrabel at No. 1 doubles position en route to the day's first point. They also went on to win their respective singles matches — Casares Rosa at the No. 2 position, and Vrabel at No. 4. It marks the the 13th consecutive victory for Vrabel in singles this season.
Senior
Alex Sidney won his No. 6 singles match after his opponent retired after Sidney dominated the first set. Senior
Sam Fleck also cruised to a victory in straight sets at No. 1 singles. Cornell has now won five of its last seven matches against Yale.
The Big Red hits the road for its penultimate Ivy League match of the season, taking on Penn at 2 p.m. Friday.
