ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell football team will have four games broadcast nationally as part of the 2016 Ivy League television package it was announced today. The Big Red will play two games on OneWorld Sports and will have two other contests on Fox College Sports. Both of the contests on OneWorld Sports will be simulcast on the Ivy League Digital Network, while the games on Fox College Sports will also be streamed live on Fox Sports Go.
Cornell make its first television appearance of the season on Saturday, Oct. 8 when it takes on preseason Ivy League favorite Harvard on OneWorld Sports at Harvard Stadium at 1 p.m. Two weeks later, the Big Red will play a noon contest at Brown on Fox College Sports. The following weekend, Cornell welcomes Princeton to Schoellkopf Field for a game that will be broadcast on OneWorld Sports at 12:30 p.m. The squad's final television appearance will come in the season finale on Nov. 19 as the Big Red welcomes Penn to Schoellkpof Field for a noon contest to be broadcast on Fox College Sports.
The 2016 television schedule will be the most expansive package ever for Ivy League football with 21 games across five different networks -- NBCSN, CNBC, OneWorld Sports, American Sports Network and FOX College Sports. The 21 games will feature all eight teams across all 10 weeks of the 2016 season.
