RINDGE, N.H. – The sprint football team powered through to a 19-14 victory over Franklin Pierce following a huge second half that saw the Big Red outscore the Ravens 16-0.

Connor Ostrander's heroics late in the fourth quarter secured the comeback triumph for the team, running five yards into the end zone to finalize the 19-14 score.

Cornell (3-1, 1-0) opened up the scoring at the end of the first quarter after a success field goal by Ben Finkelstein from 26 yards out. But Franklin Pierce (2-3, 1-2) scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to take the 14-3 lead heading into the half.

The Big Red came out in the second half with renewed energy, spewing off 16 unanswered points while the defense blanked the Raven's offense.

Karriem Royster began the squad's comeback efforts following a 17-yard touchdown reception from Ostrander. Finkelstein capped off the scoring drive with the PAT to cut Franklin Pierce's lead to 14-10.

Finkelstein cut the deficit down to one point after he converted on a 22-yard field goal to make it 14-13 and Ostrander secured the victory with his clutch last-minute touchdown run with 28 seconds left on the clock.

The Ravens did have one more opportunity to put together a game-winning drive with 20 seconds left in the game, but Dominic LaBell sealed the Cornell victory with an interception to deny Franklin Pierce the chance to do so.
