HANOVER, N.H. — Junior
Andy Muran swept his match at the No. 2 position, but the 11th-ranked men's squash team suffered an 8-1 loss in Ivy League play on Saturday at the hands of eighth-ranked Dartmouth.
The Big Green (5-5, 2-2 Ivy League) swept the opening rotation and clinched the match with three-set victories at the Nos. 5 and 8 positions for its fourth consecutive victory over Cornell (6-7, 1-3).
Sophomore
Perry Hanson played a marathon match at the No. 3 position, but was eventually toppled in the fifth set. Muran then followed with the next match on the showcase court by defeating Carson Spahr, 11-5, 11-9, 11-9. The win bumps Muran's record on the season to 7-6, which ties him for the team lead in victories with senior
Augie Jones.
Cornell wraps up its trip to New England at noon Sunday with a match at top-ranked Harvard. The match against the Crimson will be streamed live on subscription-based
