CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The women's squash team was handed a 9-0 loss by top-ranked and undefeated Harvard on Sunday.
Eight of the nine scoring matches were decided in three sets, with sophomore
Hannah Scherl the only member of Cornell (8-4, 3-2 Ivy League) to force a fourth set in her match at the No. 8 position.
The Big Red entered the weekend ranked seventh in the country by the College Squash Association, defending that slot with a 7-2 victory over 11th-ranked Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.
Cornell wraps up the regular season with a pair of Ivy League matches next weekend. The Big Red will host its Senior Day at 5:30 p.m. Friday when it hosts Princeton, then Cornell travels to Penn for the finale at noon Sunday. The CSA national championships are then stage Feb. 24-26.
