ITHACA, N.Y. –
Dayna Smith, the Rebecca Quinn Morgan '60 Head Coach of Women's Basketball, has announced that Caroline Nuckolls will join the staff in the role of Women's Basketball Operations for the upcoming season.
"We are excited to have Caroline as part of our staff this year," said Smith. "She is passionate, hard-working and enthusiastic, and will be a great addition to our program. With the experience she brings in her position, we feel she will make an immediate impact on our day-to-day operations."
Nuckolls brings seven years of Division I athletics experience to the position, having most recently served as the Women's Basketball graduate assistant at the University of Louisiana-Monroe for the past two seasons. With the Warhawks, Nuckolls handled all aspects of team travel, supervised a group of five student managers, supported team marketing efforts, filmed all practices and home games, and assisted the coaching staff with a myriad of other tasks. Additionally, she spent a year interning with the ULM Compliance Office, where she performed transcript evaluations on potential student athletes, approved recruit visits, determined eligibly for student-athletes, and coordinated community service opportunities with teams and coaches.
Prior to her time at ULM, Nuckolls worked for the Louisiana State University women's basketball program in a number of capacities. She began with the program as a student manager prior to the 2010-11 season. In that role she took care of daily operations such as laundry, practice set-up, game day home and visitor locker room set up, and packing for road trips. Nukolls also filmed and kept statistics during all practices and games, coordinated special events for recruit weekends and various basketball team functions, and also planned and executed events at every home game for the team's booster club.
During her time with the Lady Tigers, she also served as the women's basketball office intern, as well as the video coordinator intern. In those two roles she helped run the Nikki Caldwell Day Camps, inputted recruit information into the Jump Forward database, utilized iMovie to make highlight videos, and captured and coded games for scouting purposes.
A native of Katy, Texas, Nuckolls graduated from LSU with a bachelor's degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management in 2014 before going on to obtain an Master's in Public Administration from ULM in 2017.
