ITHACA, N.Y. — Returning for a match at Reis Tennis Center for the first time in nearly six weeks, the men's tennis team breezed to a 7-0 victory on Thursday evening over Buffalo.
 
Cornell (6-6), which is ranked 41st in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, dropped just two total games in the two doubles matches to reach completition before going on to win all six singles tilts in straight sets. By the numbers, freshman 
Alafia Ayeni was the most dominant at No. 2 .with a 6-2, 6-3 decision against an opponent that boasts a 6-3 record this year when competing at the top spot. Buffalo falls to 7-6.
 
The Big Red returns to Reis at 2 p.m. Saturday for its penultimate non-league match, hosting William & Mary (9-6).
