CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Junior
Michelle Wang won at No. 6 for the second straight day, but the women's tennis team was dealt a 6-1 loss on Sunday by host Harvard at Murr Tennis Center.
Following up her victory on Saturday against Dartmouth, Wang improves to 7-8 in singles during dual matches this season. She is now tied with senior
Priyanka Shah, sophomore
Ananya Dua and freshman
Cheyenne Lilienthal for the most singles victories on the team.
Wang's match went to a super tiebreaker, while the rest were decided in straight sets. Stevens forced a tiebreaker in the first set at No. 4 for Cornell (6-12, 0-5 Ivy League). While league-leading Harvard (13-8, 5-0) improved to a 38-5 advantage in the all-time series, the Big Red has still won three of the last five meetings between the programs.
Cornell returns home for its final two matches of the season, hosting Yale at 1 p.m. Saturday and Brown at 1 p.m. Sunday at Reis Tennis Center in Ithaca, N.Y.
