ITHACA, N.Y. — Senior
Priyanka Shah closed out her collegiate career with victories in singles and doubles on Sunday in the women's tennis team's season-ending 6-1 loss to Brown at Reis Tennis Center.
A two-time captain, Shah teamed with sophomore
Ananya Dua to win at No. 1 doubles for Cornell (7-13, 1-6 Ivy League). The tandem finished the demanding Ancient Eight schedule with a 4-2 record, but the Big Red fell in the other doubles matches to allow Brown an early 1-0 lead.
All six singles matches were decided in straight sets, including Shah's dominating performance at the top of the order. With a 6-1, 6-2 win over Maddie Stearns, Shah finishes the season 9-9 and led the team in singles victories.
