2/1/2020 2:29:00 PM

ITHACA, N.Y. — Freshman Veer Chotrani and sophomore Nicholas Göth Errington each won their eighth matches of the season, but Dartmouth won the final two matches Saturday to hand the Cornell men's squash team a 6-3 loss at Belkin International Squash Courts.

Cornell (5-7, 1-3 Ivy League), which is up two spots in the College Squash Association poll to a tie for 12th this week, won once in each of the match's three rotations. Chotrani won in four from the top position, then Göth Errington swept the match at No. 5 to give the Big Red – trailing 4-2 – a chance heading into the final rotation against seventh-ranked Dartmouth (5-5, 1-3). Chotrani and Göth Errington are now tied for the team lead in individual wins, sporting matching 8-4 records.

Sophomore Charles Culhane then cruised to a three-game victory in just 28 minutes at the No. 2 position, but the Big Green won out from there for its seventh straight victory against the Big Red.

Cornell returns to Ivy League play next weekend with a visit to Princeton at 1:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a home match against Penn at noon Sunday, Feb. 9 at Belkin.
