ALBANY, N.Y. - Senior
Micah Zandee-Hart was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week after notching five points over the weekend.
Recording two goals and three assists, Zandee-Hart participated in five of the nine goals scored over the weekend. She scored one goal against Brown on Friday (Feb. 14) in the 4-0 shutout before leading the Big Red with one goal and three assists against Yale on Saturday (Feb. 15).
As a part of the Cornell women's ice hockey team, Zandee-Hart led her team to a 5-1 win over Yale to clinch the 2020 ECAC Hockey Regular-Season Championship.
This marks the third time a Cornellian has been named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on the 2019-20 season. Sophomore
Gillis Frechette earned the award twice before Zandee-Hart.
The senior's award comes after junior goalie
Lindsay Browning was named the ECAC Hockey, and national, Goalie of the Month. Zandee-Hart is the first Big Red defender to earn ECACH Player of the Week in just over three years. As a sophomore, Zandee-Hart was the last Cornellian defender to earn Player of the Week with her award on Feb. 7, 2017.
