SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Cornell field hockey team came up short Sunday as #9 Syracuse silenced the Big Red, 6-0.
Not only did the Big Red draw a zero in the goals column, but the team only managed one shot and didn't set up for a penalty corner all day.
With the near-entirety of the contest happening in the Cornell zone, Syracuse fired off 22 shots as the Big Red were held to a season-low and had just one post tip by
Antonia Packard.
Aerin Park (8 saves) and
Laura Kubit (2 saves) split time in net.
Brooke Borzymowski needed just one save to secure the shutout for Syracuse.
The BIg Red play its season finale Saturday, Nov. 6 at Yale. Game time is set for noon.
