ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell football has entered into a partnership with TeamAltemus and Anomaly Sports Group to leverage the companies' live education workshops and dedicated Name, Image and Likeness resources to protect its student-athletes as they prepare for NIL rules and regulations.

TeamAltemus and Anomaly are unbiased experts who have worked with professional athletes for decades, but have quickly become educational leaders in the collegiate NIL space.

"TeamAltemus provides great comprehensive financial literacy education to our student-athletes. Their interactive, relatable program highlighted the skills necessary to navigate the current market climate, from NIL to life beyond the playing field," said David Archer '05, the Roger J. Weiss '61 Head Coach of Cornell Football.

"TeamAltemus has been out front in identifying key educational components for student-athletes as we enter the new NIL landscape in intercollegiate athletics," said Amy Foster, Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services. "We're excited we have the opportunity to pilot their program with Cornell football."

TeamAltemus and Anomaly will conduct live workshops in the offseason. Student-athletes will learn the core curriculum of their NIL Protective Education: Decision-Making, Due Diligence, Money and Contracts. Initially, they'll focus on self–evaluation and goal–setting, ensuring that student-athletes stay connected to their objectives and values with every NIL decision they make.

Rashad Campbell '12, Partner at TeamAltemus and a former team captain and three-time All-Ivy League performer during his tenure at Cornell said, "Partnering with Cornell Football is very special for me. Our team has been preparing for this moment, student-athletes are more engaged than ever and want to be empowered as they enter NIL. Ivy League student-athletes are familiar with rigorous academics and a 40+ hour weekly commitment to their sport. Our NIL programming is aimed to eliminate distractions and make them efficient and effective if they decide to participate in NIL. I'm excited to impact the next generation of Cornell Football with real-world practical solutions that will help with NIL and beyond!"

"Education is the first form of protection and we're proud to work with TeamAltemus in supporting Cornell Football," said Anomaly President and Founder Luke Fedlam. "Our workshops will help student-athletes gain insight and information to make better decisions in a business environment that's new to them and the responsibility that comes with it."

Student-athletes will learn popular NIL topics like taxes and accounting, due diligence (vetting third-parties and businesses), contracts, financial aid implications (if necessary) in addition to many others.

"Amy Foster has been instrumental in making this collaboration happen. She believes protecting athletes is an equal priority to helping them build their brands and businesses. We've enjoyed working with Cornell football prior to the pandemic and are excited about introducing our NIL protective education to further build on the financial literacy education from our prior engagement," Courtney Altemus, CEO and Founder of TeamAltemus said. "Our aligned philosophies and passion to improve the lives of student-athletes are what make this partnership so powerful."
