The Cornell women's lacrosse team defeated Yale 13-8 in an Ivy League contest on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca, N.Y. The win was Cornell's 11th consecutive over the Bulldogs.

Eighteen Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Ivy Honors

ITHACA, N.Y. – Eighteen Cornell student-athletes (spring and at-large) were chosen to receive Academic All-Ivy recognition as announced by the conference office.
 
Institutions nominated one student-athlete from each of the 13 Ivy League sponsored sports and one student-athlete from each of its non-Ivy League sponsored sports to be included on the Academic All-Ivy teams. Student-athletes must be in good academic standing to be eligible for the award.
 
Cornell's award winners include:
 
Trevor Daniel Davis, Baseball, (Sr., San Marino, Calif. – Government)
Key member of bullpen over final two seasons, posted 1.93 ERA in 4.2 innings during shortened 2020 season, holding opponents to .118 batting average. Ranked second on team with 14 relief appearances in 2019.
 
Alex Lin, Golf, (Jr., San Carlos, Calif. – Computer Science)
Competed in three events during 2019-20 season. Contributed to scoring in eight of nine career rounds entered in team lineup. Ranked fourth on team with 75.80 scoring average during 2018-19 season. Posted career-best round of 2-under-par 69 at Princeton Invitational in 2019.
 
Grace Paletta, Women's Lacrosse, (Sr., Greenwich, Conn. – Communications)
Honorable mention All-Ivy in 2019. Key member of the midfield for her four years. Recorded 45 goals, nine assists and 54 points in her career. Added 40 draw controls, 17 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
 
Jonathan Donville, Men's Lacrosse, (Sr., Oakville, Ontario – Government & History)
2020 Inside Lacrosse second-team All-American. Senior CLASS Award candidate. Honorable mention All-Ivy in 2019. Team captain as a junior. Posted 51 goals, 38 assists and 89 points in his three seasons.
 
Hannah Marks, Women's Rowing, (Sr., Hanover, N.H.- Sociology and Feminist, Gender, Sexuality Studies)
Coxed "A" boat during first round of Princeton Chase during 2019-20 season, coxing "C" boats the rest of the seasons. Coxed second varsity eight boat over first two collegiate seasons, helping team to Grand Finals of 2019 Ivy League Championships.
 
David Tigerman, Men's Lightweight Rowing, (Sr., Glencoe, Ill. – Applied Economics and Management)
Part of varsity eight that earned bronze at 55th Head of the Charles Regatta. 2019 IRA National Champion with lightweight eight. Member of the IRA Lightweight Crew of the Year in 2019. Won the men's 2- with partner Andrew Hickey at 2019 Cornell Autumn Classic.
 
Iain Kazmierczak, Men's Heavyweight Rowing, (Sr., Tulsa, Okla. – Applied Economics and Management)
Competed on the Cornell D 8+ boat in Flight 1 of Cornell Autumn Classic. Rowed in seven regattas on the second varsity eight as a sophomore. Helped the second varsity eight place fourth in the Petite Final at the 2019 EARC Sprints.
 
Brianna Straley, Softball, (Sr., Carlsbad, Calif., - Human Biology, Health & Society)
Three-year starter in the outfield. Defensive specialist. Graduated with a .975 fielding percentage. Started 87 of her 88 career games. Hit three home runs with 22 runs scored and 18 RBI over her three seasons.
 
Valerie Ho, Women's Tennis (Jr., Silver Spring, Md. – Hotel and Restaurant Administration)
Became second freshman in program history to earn All-Ivy League singles honors after being named to 2019 second team. Led team in 2019 dual season victories with 10-7 record. Competed exclusively at Nos. 1 and 2 singles positions during truncated 2020 dual season.
 
Konstantin Kirovski, Men's Tennis, (Jr., Belgrade, Serbia – Information Science)
Posted 3-0 record in 2019-20 doubles matches alongside Evan Bynoe and Daniel Soyfer. 3-1 in career singles matches during dual seasons. Teamed with Bynoe to reach doubles bracket final of Ivy Plus Invitational in 2019.
 
Brooke Overholt, Women's Outdoor Track & Field, (Jr., St. Mary's, Ontario – Nutritional Sciences)
Ran in 400 hurdles at 2019 NCAA DI East Region Prelims Rounds. Contributed to breaking freshman record in the indoor 4x400. Ran for fourth-best time in program history in 400 hurdles. Notched third-place in 400 hurdles and 4x400 relay at 2019 Ivy League Outdoor Heps Championships.
 
Jonathan Plass, Men's Outdoor Track & Field, (Sr., Philadelphia – Architecture)
Finished fourth with 4x800m relay team at both 2018 and 2019 Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships. Earned 800m PR at 2019 Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
 
Lara Carr, Equestrian, (Sr., Pine Bush, N.Y. – Economics)
Regional and Zone qualifier in 2019. Competed at the Prestigious Tournament of Champions in 2019. Reserve Champion in the novice division.
 
Rafe Chierchio, Sprint Football, (Sr., Staten Island, N.Y. – Communications)
2021 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society member. Played in 14 games over three seasons on the offensive line. Helped the Big Red take second in the CSFL in 2019.
 
Izzy Herczeg, Gymnastics, (Sr., Southborough, Mass. – Design & Environmental Analysis)
Two-time USAG All-American (beam and floor). Two-time All-ECAC. Ivy Classic beam champion (2018). ECAC All-Academic twice. USAG Scholar-Athlete in 2020.
 
Adeline Sutton, Sailing, (Sr., Saunderstown, R.I. – Economics & Psychology)
First-team All-American in 2019-20. Two-time first-team All-MAISA. Voted team's MVP crew. Competed in 36 career varsity regattas over three seasons.
 
Jed Cogan, Men's Polo, (Sr., New York, N.Y. – History)
 
Meg Anderson, Women's Polo, (Sr., Steamboat Springs, Colo. – Government)
