ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell field hockey team (6-3, 2-0 Ivy) shutout Bucknell (4-7, 3-0 Patriot) 3-0 on Sunday, October 2 at Dodson Field. The Big Red effort was led by goals from
Olivia Friedberg,

Isabella Palde.

Grace Leahy dodged three Bucknell defenders in the arc and set the ball up just ahead of the end line for
Olivia Friedberg to bury in the back right of the goal for her first goal of the season. Eight minutes later,
Caroline Ramsey found her sixth goal of the season off a penalty corner that she put past the Bison goalkeeper into the bottom left of the net.
Avery Smith served up the corner and
Claire Wolfe was the stopper, both earning assists on the goal.
Quarter two was quiet, seeing 14 stoppages form fouls committed by Bucknell compared to Cornell's nine.
The third quarter hosted the third Cornell goal of of the day when
Isabella Palde scored her second goal of the season (and weekend) by tipping in a pass from Leahy.
