ITHACA, N.Y. -- Here are some notes from Cornell's 35-6 loss at No. 22 Princeton on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Princeton Stadium.

Team Notes

  • Cornell had its three-game road win streak snapped.
  • It also fell to 14-54-2 all-time against top 25 opponents.
  • The Big Red had twice as many first downs (26-13) than Princeton, the first time it doubled up an opponent in that category since a 2019 game at Penn (24-11).
  • Cornell's four blocked kicks this season is the most since 2014 (four) and equals the total from the past four seasons combined (2017-21).
  • The Big Red has blocked a kick in three straight games for the first time since 2007 when it was credited with blocks against Princeton, Dartmouth and Columbia in succession.
  • The Big Red has allowed one sack or fewer in five of its seven contests this season, including three straight.
  • Princeton entered the game second nationally in rushing defense at 57.0 yards per game, but the Big Red piled up 148 yards on 35 carries.
  • Cornell had five turnovers, the most in a single game since coughing it up five times against Columbia on 2021, while its -5 turnover margin was its worst since going -6 (7-1) at Dartmouth in 2007.
  • The Big Red held the Tigers to 59 yards on 25 carries, the second time this season an opponent has had 59 yards or fewer on 25 carries against the Big Red defense (-2 at VMI)..

Player Notes

  • Manny Adebi became just the third player in school history to block two kicks in a game and the first since Joel Sussman got his hands on two kicks at Bucknell on Sept. 18, 2004.
  • The school record for blocks in a game is three, set by John McKeown against Rutgers on Oct. 7, 1972.
  • Adebi now has three blocked kicks in just three varsity appearances and is just one off the single season record for blocks. Ed Groszewski had four in 1991.
  • Cornell had two blocked kicks in a game for the first time since Miles Norris (punt) and Tre' Minor (PAT) each had a block against Monmouth in 2013.
  • With his seven catches for 116 yards, Matt Robbert became the first Big Red tight end ith 100 receiving yards in a game since Ty Bostain hauled in 12 catches for 112 yards against Harvard in 2013.
  • That total also goes down as a school record for receiving yards by a designated tight end.
  • Robert Tucker III's 12 carries for 67 yards were both career highs and came against a Princeton defense that ranked second nationally while allowing just 57.0 rushing yards per game entering the contest.
  • Muhammad-Ali Kobo's multiple sack game was the first by a Big Red player since Jake Stebbins had two against the Tigers in 2021.
  • Anthony Chideme-Alfaro added two pass breakups to up his league-leading total to eight for the season.
  • With his six catches for 42 yards, Thomas Glover upped his career totals to 89 catches (22nd all-time at Cornell) for 1,185 yards (21st all-time at Cornell).
