ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 7-ranked Cornell women's squash team posted a pair of 9-0 victories in its first pair of matches on the season at the Belkin Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Cornell did not lose a match against No. 15-ranked Williams in the first match of the day. Each Big Red player registered straight-set victories, including Ananya Dabke (No. 3), Alysa Ali (No. 5), Alexis Shatzman (No. 6), Ania LaDow (No. 7), and Devon Shatzman (No. 8), all finishing their respective matches in under 20 minutes.

Aishwarya Khubchandani made her collegiate debut at the No. 2 spot in the ladder, opening with an impressive 11-1 victory over Williams' Yu Quan Ng. Khubchandani went on to win the following two sets, 12-10 and 11-3.

Ali and Devon Shatzman claimed victories in their collegiate debuts.

In the nightcap against St. Lawrence, Cornell only lost one game among the nine matches. Sydney Bednar, Ashley Hatstadt, and Charlotte Gillis entered the lineup for the Big Red and won their respective matches.

Bednar lost the first set, 12-10, but dominated the remaining three sets, losing just seven of the remaining 40 games.

Alexis Shatzman dropped just nine of her 42 games played to improve to 2-0 in her young collegiate career.
