AKRON, Ohio -- The Cornell men's and women's swim and dive teams began competition at the Zippy Invitational today with the 200 yard Medley Relay and the 800 yard Free Relay.
The men's team placed in the top five in both races. Junior

Will Taner touched the wall at 1:27.91 in the 200 yard, good for fourth place while finishing in a perfect tie with Kaiser. Sophomore

Joseph Gurski, and sophomore
Dominic Edwards rounded out the day with a third place finish at 6:33.87 in the 800.
The women's top groups grabbed sixth and seventh in the 200 and 800 respectively. The Cornell women are currently fifth out of seven with 170 points, just eight behind Oakland. The Cornell men are third out of five with 199 points, just seven behind Oakland.
