BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Lauren Stein won her match in straight sets at #4 singles, but Indiana won a pair of three-set matches down the stretch to clinch a 4-2 victory in women's tennis on Saturday at Indiana University Tennis Center.
 
Cornell (0-6) got off to a strong start with a 6-0 win from Alexandra Savu and Jenny Wong at #2 doubles. The other two doubles tilts were more closely contested, but Indiana (6-3) prevailed in both to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
The Big Red flipped the switch to start singles play, first with freshman Lan Mi prevailed at the top spot after her opponent retired in the first set at #1. Stein closed out her victory next, giving the Big Red a 2-1 lead.
 
After the Hoosiers tied the score at 2 with a straight-set victory at #2, the match would come down to the remaining matches going to three sets. Indiana won the first two to reach completion to clinch.
 
Cornell wraps up its weekend at noon CST Sunday with a visit to Illinois.
