PHILADELPHIA — The Cornell women's squash team was even with Penn entering the final wave of matches on Sunday, but the Quakers went on to win all three of them to cap a 6-3 victory at Penn Squash Center.
Cornell (3-7) found itself in an early 2-0 before
Wen Li Lai outlasted her opponent from the #2 spot in the day's longest match to get the Big Red back to within one.
Alexis Shatzman followed that up with a three-game victory at #6.

Sivasangari Subramaniam needed just 14 minutes to sprint away with a three-game win at #1, improving to a 10-0 this season and giving the Big Red a 3-2 lead. The first two games were split In three of the remaining four matches, but Penn would eventually pull away to win all of them to secure the upset victory. The loss will likely cause #8 Cornell and #9 Penn to swap positions in the College Squash Association's national rankings. That could leave the Big Red with
The Big Red returns home for its final regular-season matches at Belkin International Squash Courts. Cornell first hosts #6 Drexel at noon Saturday before wrapping up against #20 St. Lawrence at 11 a.m. Sunday.
