Six Fencers Earn All-Region Status

ITHACA, N.Y. – The United States Fencing Coaches Association announced Monday that six members of the Cornell fencing team have been earned All-Northeast Region recognition. The awards are determined by results and field size at each of the NCAA regional competitions.
 
Megan Eno and Gabrielle Hill have both earned second-team accolades in epee, having qualified for nationals with eighth- and ninth-place finishes, respectively, at the regional event on March 13. Eno was 5-6 and Hill went 4-7 in the finals. Clarice Lim, who finished 14th, has earned all-region honorable mention.
 
Asherah Horsley and Renata Chusid were also named to the all-region second team in foil. Horsley took ninth at regionals and Chusid 10th to qualify for the upcoming national event.
 
Esther Bentolila is the Big Red's lone representative on the all-region teams in saber, claiming on a spot on the second team with an eighth-place finish at regionals.
