ITHACA, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey unveiled half of its all-league selections on Wednesday, with Cornell men's hockey senior forward
Max Andreev claiming a spot on the All-ECAC Hockey third team and freshman defenseman
Hank Kempf being placed on the All-Rookie team.
Andreev has earned his first career all-league honor after leading skaters with an average of 1.42 points per game in ECAC Hockey contests. He racked up 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists in just 12 games, missing the remaining 10 games due to injury. He delivered one of the most memorable moments of the season's first half when he scored four goals to go with two assists in a Nov. 13 victory over Rensselaer.
Kempf earned one of just two spots for blueliners on the all-rookie squad after a solid collegiate debut that led to a plus-10 rating in league games, which is highest among all of ECAC Hockey's freshmen defensemen. He mixed in seven assists over the 22 games and logged significant minutes while only being whistled for two minor penalties. Kempf is just the third member of the Big Red to claim a spot on the all-rookie squad in the team's last nine seasons.
The remainder of the All-ECAC Hockey selections – specifically, the first and second teams – are scheduled to be unveiled on Thursday.
