HANOVER, N.H. -- The Cornell softball team struggled to get the bats going against Dartmouth pitching and the Big Green completed the 2022 regular season with a 4-0 triumph over the Big Red on Sunday afternoon at Dartmouth Softball Complex. Cornell completes its season at 17-23 (7-14 Ivy), while Dartmouth improved to 20-24 (14-7 Ivy).

Allison Kerce had two of the team's three hits in her final collegiate game and classmate Kate Hale doubled in the seventh for her first career extra-base hit.
Mia Burd (4.1 innings, four hits, one earned run) and
Gabrielle Maday (1.2 innings, one hit, one earned run) kept the Big Red in the game with their performances in the circle.
Brooke Plonka won her 12th game of the season after surrendering two hits over 5.0 innings before Madie Augusto collected the save with a pair of scoreless innings out of the bullpen. The Big Green offense was held to five hits itself, with Billie McFadyen leading the way with two hits an a run scored.
THe home team scored single runs in the second, third, fifth and sixth to claim the victory. THree of the four runs scored on hits, though the initial run was helped out by a pair of walks and a fielding error.
Cornell put a pair of runners on in the first, fifth and seventh frames but couldn't scratch a run over.
