Jimmy Boeheim '21 Begins Pro Career In Greece

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Jimmy Boeheim '21 will begin his professional basketball career with ASK Karditsas B.C. in the Greece A1 league it was announced today. Boeheim spent the summer as part of the Detroit Pistons Summer League team.

Boeheim was a standout on the court and in the classroom for the Big Red, developing into one of the top players in the Ivy League while earning second-team Academic All-America honors. On the court, Boeheim finished fifth in the Ivy League in scoring (16.7 ppg.) while posting career highs in rebounding (5.6 rpg.), assists (1.9 apg.) and steals (0.7 spg.) as a senior. He shot 43 percent from the floor overall and 72 percent from the free-throw line in 21 appearance (19 starts). Boeheim scored 800 points with 281 rebounds in 78 games (38 starts) in his time on East Hill and helped the Big Red to an Ivy League Tournament appearance and a spot in the 2019 CIT.

Boeheim played one season as a graduate transfer at Syracuse for his father, Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim. He started all 33 games, averaging 13.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
