Miller Comes Clutch
The Cornell men's soccer team played Binghamton to a stunning 2-1 victory on Tuesday night from Bearcats Sports Complex. Senior defender Connor Drought and freshman mid-fielder Connor Miller put in their first goals of the season. Alex Harris and Balazs Feher extended their point-streaks to three games, helping on the Big Red goals.

Miller's first goal of his Big Red career came at an opportune moment, as it was needed to lift the Big Red over Binghamton.

Cornell moved to 7-3-2, while Binghamton fell to 3-9-2.

Alex Harris, Freshman All-Time Leader in Goals and Points
Harris has registered three multi-goal games this season to date, which includes a two goal game in the 2-1 victory against the defending national champion Syracuse Orange. With his second goal in the Tuesday night's contest against Colgate, Harris eclipsed Richard Simpson (1997) for the most goals (previously eight) and points (previously 18) scored by a Cornell freshman of all-time.

A Great Day Against the Great Danes
Sophomore forward Westin Carnevale and junior defender Wilson Eisner registered their first goals of the season, while Ivy League points leader Alex Harris extended his point-streak to six with his 59th-minute successful penalty kick. Freshman goalie Isaac Delgado saw action in the net for the first time of his Big Red career, earning two saves and the victory.

The Cornell men's soccer team survived a late game push by the UAlbany Great Danes, outlasting them 3-2 from Berman Field on Tuesday night. Cornell improved to 4-2-2 on the season, and the Great Danes fell to 4-6-1.

Upset In East Hill
The Big Red fans threatened capacity at Berman Field in the season opener, in hopes of watching men's soccer avenge it's 2022 NCAA tournament setback against the Orange.The Cornell men's soccer team downed defending national champion, #7 Syracuse, 2-1 in front of a packed crowd on Tuesday night. Freshman forward Alex Harris scored two goals for the second time this year. The victory marked the first time that Big Red men's soccer has taken down a defending national champion. The first two tries came against Hartwick in 1978, and Virginia in 1993.

Ivy League Opening Win
The Cornell men's soccer earned it's first Ivy League win of the season, taking down Princeton 5-1 on a rainy Saturday evening at Berman Field in front of an active array of Big Red alumni and fans.

Cornell freshman all-time goals leader Harris and junior forward Alioune Ka netted two goals apiece, along with freshman forward Balazs Feher finding the back of the net for a tally.

The Big Red moved to 6-3-2 and 1-1-2 in the Ivy League. The Tigers dropped to 4-6-1, and 1-2-1 in the conference.

Cornell leads the series 16-5-2 over Binghamton. The Big Red are 8-1-1 in the last ten matchups. The Bearcats earned their most recent victory against the Cornellians in 2015 when they topped Cornell 2-1 in double overtime.

Players To Watch
Alex Harris (Cornell) - Harris was recently named to the Ivy League honor roll list, after a five point performance in the 4-2 victory against Canisius. Alex netted his first collegiate goal, which was followed by another to give him two goals in the game. He would follow up with the first assist of his career, on the third goal that stretched the Big Red's lead to three. Against UMBC, Harris put in the lone Big Red goal on a penalty kick. Harris, a first-year Cornellian, has four multi-goal games on the season, and leads the Ivy League in points (25) and goals with 11.

Kisa Kiingi (Cornell) - Kiingi was recognized as a part of the College Soccer News Men's National Team of The Week for his performances against New Hampshire and Canisius. He was the culprit of the goal that Cornell needed to top New Hampshire 1-0 on the road, and has solidified a Big Red defense that is anchored in goal by Ryan Friedberg. Kiingi also contributed a helper on one of Harris' two goals in the win over Canisius, and one of his goals in the 2-1 victory over rival Syracuse on Tuesday. The senior defender has registered four points on one goal and two assists.

Ryan Friedberg (Cornell) - Friedberg tallied 10 saves in the opening weekend of the season, seven of which came on the back of his shutout win against No. 19 New Hampshire. The reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year registered the fifth shutout of his young Big Red career in that game. He was named Ivy League Defender of The Week for those performances. Friedberg has 18 saves on the year with a .667 percentage through nine games.

Isaac Delgado (Cornell) - Delgado is in his first season for the Big Red. He made his first start in goal in a 3-2 victory against UAlbany, where he made two saves, and surrendered two goals. In his second start, against Penn, he registered one save, and gave up one goal during a penalty kick. Delgado also protected the net in Tuesday's matchup with Colgate, saving a shot. The freshman goalie is now 2-1 in starts.

Vasilis Moiras (Dartmouth) - Leads the team in goals (5), assists (1), and points (11).

Douglas Arveskar (Dartmouth) - Second on the squad in goals (3) and points (7).

Trenton Blake (Dartmouth) - First on the Big Green assists rankings (3) and third in the points (5) category.
