ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's tennis team was in action this weekend as it competed at its invitational held at the Reis Tennis Center.
The Big Red had four players compete on the weekend, including
Muhammad Dossani,
Noah Eisenberg,
Maxwell Moadel, and
Aman Sharma.
Noah Eisenberg had a solid weekend for the Big Red in his first action this fall, going 3-1. All three of Eisenberg's wins came via straight sets, including a 6-1, 6-2 decision over Niagara's Salvador Vazquez on Saturday.
Aman Sharma also had a strong weekend, rattling off three straight wins after dropping his opening match on Friday in straight sets to Harvard's Alan Yim. The sophomore had to battle for all three victories on the weekend, as two went to three sets. However, he stayed the course and knocked off three Ivy League opponents.
Muhammad Dossani battled hard all weekend, going 1-3. His lone win was a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 decision over Harvard's Zachery Lim.
Maxwell Moadel was the final competitor on the weekend in his first action of the fall season for Cornell. The junior was in a dogfight throughout all three sets he played but failed to pick up a win on the weekend.
The Big Red is back in action next weekend at the Yale Invitational, which runs Friday, Nov. 3 to Sunday, Nov. 5, in New Haven, Conn.
