  • A three-time All-American and the 2023 national champion at 133, Arujau will wrestle for the first time since Cornell opened its season at the Journeymen Classic in November.

  • Cornell's matchup against Iowa State could feature a rematch between Ramirez and David Carr, one of the top wrestlers in the nation. Ramirez defeated Carr, a four-time All-American and the 2021 national champion at 157pounds, 4-3 by decision at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational earlier this month.

  • Ramirez could have another top-10 opponent in Pitt's Holden Heller, who's ranked No. 8 at 165 by Intermat.

  • Foca could face ISU's Will Feldkamp, who's ranked No. 3 in the nation at 184 by FloWrestling. A transfer from Clarion, Feldkamp is a two-time NCAA qualifier.

  • The 285-pound match could also be a marquee matchup, with Cornell's Fernandes facing ISU's Yonger Bastida, ranked No. 3 in the nation at his weight by Intermat. Bastida defeated Fernandes 4-2 by decision last season.

  • Cornella will be looking to avenge the 13-3 loss he took against Iowa State's Anthony  Anthony Echemendia in the seventh-place match at the Cliff Keen Inivte. Intermat has Echemendia ranked No. 14 in the country at 141 pounds.

  • Six NCAA qualifiers returned for Cornell, including Ungar, Cornella, Ramirez, Foca, Cardenas and Arujau. Foca, Cardenas and Arujau earned All-American status last season.
