ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 8-ranked Cornell men's squash program will conclude its three-match homestand this weekend when it welcomes No. 9-ranked Columbia to the Belkin Squash Courts on Saturday in the program's final home game of the season.
First matches in the top-10 Ivy League matchup are scheduled to begin at noon. Action can be viewed live on Stretch Internet.
Cornell (6-5, 2-4 Ivy) is coming off a split of its pair of matches last weekend against top-ranked Harvard and No. 10 Dartmouth.
The Big Red fell to the Crimson, 8-1, last Saturday before snapping its five-game losing streak with a 7-2 victory over the Big Green the following day.
Arnaav Sareen posted a five-game victory against Harvard at the No. 3 position after trailing by two games, 9-11, 9-11, 11-4, 11-1, 11-1. Sareen coasted in his match against Dartmouth posting a straight-game victory.
Joining Sareen with straight-game victories against the Big Green was
Veer Chotrani (No. 1),
Rohan Iyer (No. 6),
Nick Robinson (No. 7), and
Morgan Huberman (No. 8).
Aaron Liang had a four-game victory at the No. 2 spot on the Big Red's ladder.
Scouting Columbia
Columbia enters the contest with a 2-7 overall record and 1-4 mark in Ivy League play. The Lions split its matches last weekend against Dartmouth and Harvard, posting an 8-1 win over the Big Green before falling to the Crimson by an identical score.
Zach Nam has a team-high five victories this season.
The Big Red defeated Columbia, 5-4, last year in its first Ivy League match of the season on Dec. 5, 2021.

Rohan Iyer won their respective matches to give Cornell, who was ranked No. 9 before the match, an upset win over then-ranked No. 5 Columbia.
Looking Ahead
Cornell will conclude its regular-season slate with a pair of matches next weekend when it plays against No. 7 Drexel on Friday, Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. and No. 5 Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. Both matches will be played in Philadelphia.
