ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell men's tennis team will take its six-match win streak to Dartmouth this weekend for the ECAC Indoor Championships, which will be hosted at the Boss Tennis Center.
Cornell (6-0), who has been assigned the No. 4 seed in the tournament, opens the eight-team tournament comprised of all Ancient Eight programs on Friday at noon against No. 5-seeded Princeton.
Regardless of Friday's result, the Big Red will face top-seeded Harvard or No. 8 Brown at either 3 p.m. with a win or at 9 a.m. with a loss.
Sophomore
Radu Papoe, who is currently ranked No. 50 in singles by the ITA, is 5-0 on the year with all of his matches occurring at the No. 1 position. The Big Red has dropped just two of the 18 matches completed by the top four spots in singles.
Junior
Samuel Paquette and freshman
Petar Teodorovic have excelled at No. 3 doubles, registering a 5-1 record in duals matches.
Scouting Princeton
Princeton enters this weekend's tournament with a 2-6 overall record. The Tigers' pair of victories have come against a pair of SEC schools in Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
The Tigers have lost its last three matches to Middle Tennessee, Penn State, and N.C. State. In all three setbacks, Princeton recorded at least two points.
Ellis Short has a Princeton-leading five wins on the year in duals matches, posting a 4-1 mark at No. 5 singles. Fnu Nidunjianzan is 4-4 with all of his matches coming at the No. 1 position.
