PROVIDENCE, R.I. --
Sebastian Wolff rewrote another Cornell record in day two of the Ivy Championships at Brown.
Thursday evening opened with the 500 yard Freestyle, and three Big Red,
Dominic Edwards,
Jacques Grove and
Chris Kostelni, competed in the C Final. Edwards finished 21st overall with a time of 4:26.14 with Grove finishing right behind at 22nd with a time of 4:27.60. Kostelni finished with a time of 4:29.54. Edwards time is good for 5th all-time at Cornell, and Grove's ranks eighth. The 50 yard Freestyle came next with
Jeremy Marcin and
Will Taner racing in the C Final. Marcin's finished at 20.41, and Taner touched the wall at 20.48.
Three Cornellians competed in the 200 yard IM, with
Sebastian Wolff leading the way. Wolff swam in the A Final, placing second overall with a time of 1:44.27. The time broke the previous Cornell record by nearly a quarter of a second.
Paige daCosta won the B Final with a time of 1:45.37, ranking third all-time.
Jacob Bass placed third in the C Final with a time of 1:47.97, good for eighth all-time at Cornell. The Big Red wrapped up the day with a sixth place finish in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay, when Marcin, Taner,
Daniel Simoes, and Wolff finished at 1:19.85, good for third all-time at Cornell.
Day three will continue with the 100 yard Butterfly, 400 yard IM, 200 yard Freestyle,100 yard Breaststroke the 100 yard Backstroke prelims in the morning session, with finals beginning at 6 p.m.
