POTSDAM, N.Y. - Cornell and Clarkson needed three games in Potsdam to settle the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals matchup. The Big Red pushed the series to it's final game with a double overtime victory in game two. The Golden Knights ran away with game three, in a 4-1 victory on Sunday evening.

The opening period was identical to the game two opener, with both goalies standing strong in the net in a scoreless stanza.

Izzy Daniel put in a Big Red tally in the second period immediately following a critical penalty kill to put Cornell up 1-0. Clarkson responded with back to back goals to push them into the lead 2-1 heading into the final period.

Anne Cherkowski took advantage of the Golden Knight power-play extending the lead to 3-1. The Big Red went for a six-on-four advantage as they removed Fraser from the net which ultimately led to a dagger empty-net goal.
