ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell women's tennis team will travel to Hanover, N.H., this weekend to participate in the 2023 ECAC Indoor Championships.

Cornell, who will be the No. 5 seed in the tournament, will face No. 4-seeded Harvard on Friday at 11 a.m.

The eight-team tournament is featuring all Ivy League programs, as Cornell will play either No. 1 Princeton or No. 8 Dartmouth on Saturday. A loss against the Crimson will put the Big Red in an 8 a.m. match. A win would lead to a 2 p.m. match on Saturday.

In the other quarterfinals taking place Friday, No. 3 Yale plays No. 6 Columbia, and No. 2 Penn will square off with No. 7 Brown.

The Big Red (1-5) is coming off a split of its pair of weekend matches against Indiana and Niagara. Cornell was edged by Indiana, 4-3, last Friday before the Big Red posted a 7-0 victory over Niagara at the Reis Tennis Center on Sunday.

Scouting Harvard

Harvard enters the ECAC Indoor Championships with a 3-3 overall record on the year, having lost its last three matches. The Crimson host Baylor on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Cambridge, Mass.

The Crimson opened the year with three consecutive wins over Quinnipiac, Army, and Boston College, but have since fallen to a trio of Power Five schools in LSU, Penn State, and No. 4 Duke.

Looking Ahead

Following the ECAC Indoor Championship, Cornell will have eight of its next 10 matches at the Reis Tennis Center, beginning with a match against the University of Buffalo on Feb. 17 at 3 p.m.
