Andreev will also be joining former Cornell women's hockey standout Jessica Campbell, who is in her first year as an assistant coach on the Firebirds' coaching staff.

Coming off his third consecutive 20-point season, Andreev registered six goals and and a career-high 16 assists over 31 games played with the Big Red this season. During his time on East Hill, Andreev logged 99 career appearances and recorded 75 points (22 goals, 53 assists).

This season, Andreev posted five multi-point performances, which included a pair of three-point games against St. Lawrence (Nov. 11 - two goals, one assist) and Union (Feb. 4 - one goal, two assists).

Following the announcement of fellow seniors Sam Malinski and Ben Berard signing earlier today, Andreev will be the 13th Big Red player to be on an active AHL roster. Along with Malinski, Berard and Mullin, Andreev joins Anthony Angello (Milwaukee), Cole Bardreau and Jeff Kubiak (Bridgeport), Kyle Betts (Belleville), Alex Green (Chicago), Yanni Kaldis (Bakersfield), Jeff Malott (Manitoba), Riley Nash (Charlotte), and Michael Regush (Abbotsford).

Andreev could make his debut with the Firebirds as soon as Friday when the team plays a road contest against the Ontario Reign. The Firebirds, based out of Palm Springs, Calif., also play the Colorado Eagles on Saturday, in the first of six consecutive home contests at Acrisure Arena.
