PRINCETON, N.J. -- Emily Pape earned her third Rookie of the Week honors of the season following her 15 point, nine rebound performance in the final week of the 2022-23 Ivy League regular season. She is the first player in Cornell history to win at least three weekly awards in a single season since Nia Marshall was Player of the Week four times in the 2016-17 season. She is the first freshman to win Rookie of the Week at least three times in a season since 2012-14, when Nia Marshall won five different weeks.

Pape was tied for the third most points in the Big Red's season finale against Ivy League regular season co-champion, Columbia. Pape concludes the season for the Big Red as the number two scorer with 291 points, and the team leader in points per game, averaging 11.2 despite only starting twice. Her points is the most by an active Big Red player in their freshman season. Of the 291 points she notched across the season, perhaps none were more important than her final fourth quarter layup. She scored with just six seconds remaining in the fourth to send the Big Red to overtime with the Lions.

The Big Red concluded the season with a 10-17 record, improving on last season's 9-16 record.
