NEW YORK — Columbia belted five home runs to lift the host Lions to a 12-6 victory over the Cornell baseball team at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Andy Blake went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Anton Lazits also had a three-hit day, going 3-for-4 for Columbia (11-10, 3-1 Ivy). Seth Dardar and Cole Hage each had three-RBI days in the victory.
Andy Leon allowed four runs over six innings of work, while yielding six hits, walking three and striking out five while improving to 4-1 on the year.
Ethan Hamill was the losing pitcher for Cornell (2-14, 2-2 Ivy), after allowing six runs on eight hits over 4.2 innings. He walked two and did not strikeout any Columbia batters.

Ryan Porter each hit two-run home runs for the Big Red, and senior outfielder
Sam Kaplan also hit a round-tripper for Cornell in the setback.
Hollerbach went 3-for-4 with a double, home run, and three RBI in the contest.
Cornell opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-run frame, thanks to senior outfielder
Wils Guy registering a one-out single. Kaplan hit a 3-2 pitch over the batter's eye in right-center field, nearly landing in Spuyten Duyvil Creek. The home run for Kaplan registered an exit velocity of 108 mph.
Columbia doubled Cornell's output in the first inning as a pair of two-run home runs by Hayden Schott and Dardar gave the Lions a 4-2 lead.
Griffin Palfrey hit a two-out solo home run to further extend the Lions' lead in the second inning.
Following a leadoff walk drawn by Kaplan in the fourth, Hollerbach hit his two-run home run to cut Columbia's lead to 5-4.
A sacrifice fly in the fifth was the first of five unanswered runs by Columbia, as the Lions plated four runs in the seventh on just two hits. A pinch-hit, three-run home run by Hage enabled the Lions to distance themselves from the Big Red.
Porter hammered an off-speed pitch over the left-center field wall, giving Cornell its third home run of the day and trimming the Big Red's deficit to 10-6.
Jack Kail tacked on insurance runs for the Lions with a two-run home run in the eighth, marking the second consecutive game in which Columbia recorded five-plus home runs.
Hollerbach tried to spark a two-out rally for the Big Red in the ninth as he roped an RBI double that one-hopped off the left-field wall, but a strikeout by Will Parkinson solidified his second save of the season.
Game Notes
• Cornell and Columbia met for the 244th time on Saturday, as Cornell is now 129-115 all-time against its Empire State rival. The Lions have won the last five games against the Big Red.
• The three home runs hit by Cornell matches the team's most in a game this season, as the Big Red hit three against James Madison on Feb. 26.
• Kaplan's home run was his first since last year on May 1, also against Columbia's Derek Yoo.
• With a leadoff double in the ninth, Quinlan extended his career-long hit streak to five games.

Josh Shea recorded his first collegiate strikeout in the eighth inning when he retired Hayden Schott, who entering the contest with a .398 batting average that ranked second in the Ivy League.

Cornell and Columbia will conclude its three-game series on Sunday when the two teams play a doubleheader at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium. The opening game of the twin bill is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
