CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 36-ranked Cornell men's tennis team fell to No. 15-ranked Harvard, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Cornell now has an overall mark of 14-5 on the year and is 1-2 in Ivy League play following the setback. Harvard improves to 16-5 overall and remains perfect in Ivy League play with a 4-0 record.
The Crimson posted the first point of the day after claiming victories in the top two doubles matches. Harvard's tandem of Daniel Milavsky and Harris Walker, which is ranked No. 60 nationally, defeated the Big Red sophomore duo of
Adit Sinha and
Nathan Mao, 6-2. Ronan Jachuck and Steven Sun edged senior
Vladislav Melnic and sophmore
Radu Papoe 6-3.
In singles action, Jachuck who is ranked No. 115 nationally, cruised past freshman
Petar Teodorovic in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-2. No. 34-ranked Harris Walker dropped just one point to Melnic in his straight-set victory, 6-0, 6-1. Valdemar Pape defeated sophomore
Aman Sharma, 6-1, 7-6 (1) to give Harvard the four-point victory.

Cornell will conclude its New England road trip on Sunday when it plays Dartmouth at 1 p.m. Match action will be broadcast on Stretch Internet.
