HANOVER, N.H. — The No. 36-ranked Cornell men's tennis team defeated Dartmouth, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Thompson Outdoor Courts.
Cornell improves to 15-5 overall on the year and is 2-2 in Ivy League play. Dartmouth fell to 11-12 overall and is 1-4 in Ancient Eight action this season.
Nathan Mao and
Adit Sinha were the first doubles pairing to win their match, posting a 6-3 victory over Waleed Qadir and Miles Groom. The Big Green's Alejandro Quiles and Alex Knox-Jones defeated senior
Vladislav Melnic and sophomore
Radu Papoe, 6-3, forcing the No. 3 doubles match to serve as the decider of the opening point. Junior

Petar Teodorovic outlasted Henry Ren and Carlos Guerrero Alvarez, 6-4, to give the Big Red the early advantage.
Sinha and fellow sophomore
Aman Sharma each had straight-set victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively, to give Cornell a 3-0 lead over the Big Green. The victory for Sinha was his 12th of the season, as he dropped just three points to Qadir, 6-3, 6-0. Sharma improved to 8-3 on the year following his 6-1, 6-4 win over Knox-Jones.
Mao's 6-2, 6-4 victory over Quiles at No. 5 singles ensured the Big Red a victory as both teams agreed to play the remainder of the matches.
Teodorovic won at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 7-5, and Papoe continued his torrid stretch as of late, posting a 6-2, 5-7, 10-7 victory at the top singles spot over Guerrero Alvarez.
Looking Ahead
Cornell returns to the Reis Tennis Center for its final two matches of the season when it welcomes Brown and Yale to East Hill next weekend. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
