Women's Track and Field Stands Third After Ivy-League Heps Day One

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Women's track and field took the course at Franklin Field for the second weekend in a row, this time for the Ivy-League Heptagonal Championships. The women currently stand third after a strong day one with 22 points behind Princeton and Harvard.

Phoebe Price-Roberts broke her Cornell-leading hammer record for the third time this season, banking a fourth-place 57.92 meter hammer throw. Ama Boham got her weekend off to a solid start, threatening her personal-best and earning a second-place finish (13.89 seconds) in the 100-meter hurdles by a razor thin margin. Ziling Liu was amongst the top of the standing in the javelin, finishing third with a mark of 45.05. The 400-meter hurdles saw Reyne Rodrigues nearly go sub-one minute, finishing sixth with a time of 1:00.69. Sarah Roffman rallied late in the 10,000-meter run to capture a fifth-place result. Paula Marie-Brown (2812) and Rachel Bonnet (2751) are currently sixth and seventh respectively in the Heptathlon.

Next Action
The Big Red will look to make a run for the top spot on day two of the Heptagonal Championships. A full day of events are scheduled to begin tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. from Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.  The action will be broadcasted live to ESPN+.
