AUSTIN, Texas -
Perry Mackinnon represented Cornell in the the 10,000-meter run on Wednesday night at the 2023 NCAA Championships, finishing 20th overall in a time of 29:46.87. Mackinnon took the Mike A. Myers Stadium track at Texas against the best runners in the country as one of two Ivy League runners in the event.
Mackinnon came out strong and was sixth after 400 meters, seventh after 800 and was consistently in the top 10 over the first 1,600 meters. He was unable to move up in the final quarter of the race, but finished ahead of his pre-meet ranking of 35th in the NCAA entering the meet.
