LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Cornell volleyball, for the second consecutive year, earned the United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. This marks the fifth time in the past six seasons that the Big Red was recognized.

The honor, awarded annually, recognizes teams of all collegiate and high school volleyball teams who display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average. Cornell was one of five Ivies to be honored on this year's list.
