ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Cornell women's cross country team gears up to take the course on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Genesee Valley Park for the Yellowjacket Invitational. The Cornellians are slated for a 10:00 a.m. race start time.
In Cornell's 2021 rendition of the Yellowjacket Invitational,
Isa Meyers and company ran away with wins. The Big Red won with a score of 30— 15 points clear of second place Buffalo and a whopping 96 fewer than third-place RIT. Cornell kept things tight among themselves, hitting the mats at first, fifth, seventh, eighth, ninth, 10th and 12th en route to a team victory.
The current Big Red runners who saw action on this course in 2021 are
Sierra Burror,
Margaret Dalseth,
Sloane Fleming-Hickey, and
Alexa Barton. Burror and Dalseth earned top 10 results, finishing eighth (22:43.4) and ninth (22:48.4), respectively. The Big Red look to bounce back from its last race and repeat its 2021 Yellowjacket Invitational performance.
