ITHACA, N.Y. -- After starting dual competition with a win for the first time since the 2016-17 season, women's tennis is back to the court this weekend to take on upstate New York foes Niagara and Syracuse. The Big Red and Purple Eagles are set to compete on Jan. 27 at the Reis Tennis Center. Cornell then heads up Interstate 81 to battle against the Orange on Sunday, Jan. 28. Matches on both days are set to begin at 11 a.m.
Cornell boasts a 4-0 record all-time over Niagara, posting 7-0 sweeps in all four meetings. Against the Orange, Cornell has won just one match in the eight all-time meetings but has never been swept.
After the duals, Cornell travels to the ECAC Indoor Championships from Feb. 6 through Feb. 11. Matches will be held in Cambridge, Mass.
