PRINCETON, N.J. -- Cornell women's basketball fell to Princeton in the teams' second meeting of the season, 85-47, on Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gymnasium. Cornell dropped to 6-11 (0-5 Ivy) while Princeton remained perfect in league play, and improved to 15-3 (5-0 Ivy).
Summer Parker-Hall was the lone double-digit scorer for the Big Red, after shooting 75 percent from the field and hitting 4-of-4 free throws.
Kaya Ingram tallied a team-high two assists, while
Vivienne Knee grabbed a team-best four boards.
Emily Pape's three steals matched Princeton's Ashley Chea for most in the game.
Princeton's offense was led by reigning Ivy League Player of the Year Kaitlyn Chen, who tallied 12 points and matched her career-high in assists (10). Sophomore Madison St. Rose was the Tigers' leading scorer with 15 points and two steals, and Chea rounded out double-digit scorers with 11. Ellie Mitchell grabbed just four rebounds in the contest, the lowest of the season for the Tiger.
Princeton opened on a 9-0 run in the first before the mid-range opened up for the Big Red. Cornell's first two shots, from Parker-Hall, and Jackson, fell as jumpers, but Princeton's offense maintained its momentum, building out a 20-8 lead at the end of the first. Through the second-quarter media timeout at 4:16, Cornell was held to one made-field goal, while the Tigers built its lead to 21.
Emily Pape broke the nearly four-minute drought with a deep two. The Princeton lead at halftime had built out to 46-19.
The Big Red faced another field-goal drought to open the third quarter, not netting a live-ball shot for the first 3:43 of the quarter. The shot helped spark an 18-point quarter for the Big Red, its largest scoring quarter of the day.
Summer Parker-Hall hit double-figures when she netted a driving layup with 1:27 remaining in the third. Cornell held Princeton to 18 points in the fourth, its fewest scored all day, but the Tigers closed with a 38-point win.

Cornell returns home for a two-for-one weekend when the Big Red hosts Dartmouth on Feb. 2 and Harvard on Feb. 3. Both contests will be played in Newman Arena.
