BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Cornell women's cross country team earned 10th-place at the Paul Short Run on Saturday morning.
Augustine Haquet (20:13.3) was the highest-ranked finisher for the Big Red, earning an eighth-place result.
"Augstine led the team with a tremendous effort. She placed herself with the lead pace and ran steady and strong among the whole race", Mike Henderson, the Alan B. '53 and Elizabeth Heekin Harris Head Coach of Cross Country mentioned about Haquet's performance.
Mairead Clas (20:48) and Marge Dalseth (21:00.6) were next in line for the Big Red. Coach Mike Henderson was pleased with their improvement from their last time out at the Paul Short Run. "Marge and Mairead competed well throughout the race to finish 33rd and 47th. Both made a huge jump from the last time they competed in this meet.
The team as a whole also made a strong improvement to 10th-place of 42, from the 2022 Paul Short Run where it finished in 44th-place of 46. "That progress is a testament to the work they have put in and the way they continue to help each other get the most out of themselves", Henderson concluded with.
