PRINCETON, N.J. - The Cornell women's cross country team finished in sixth-place at the 2024 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. Augustine Haquet (11th - 20:35.9) and Mairead Clas (12th - 20:38.1) earned spots inside of the top-12.

"There is a lot of emotion at this race and both teams really left everything they had on the day out there", Mike Henderson, the Alan B. '53 and Elizabeth Heekin Harris Head Coach of Cross Country mentioned.

Haquet and Clas' respective performances notched them second-team All-Ivy distinctions. "Augustine and Mairead both battled hard to earn their all Ivy honors", Henderson said.

"The women wanted more in terms of team placing, but they took some risks in the race that were needed for us to keep growing. They also fought hard every step of the way and improved their finish from last year, so that was a positive", he concluded with.
