#11 Women's Ice Hockey Slated For RV Yale, #14 Brown

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 11-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team will take the road for ECAC Hockey play on Friday, November 8th to face the Yale Bulldogs at Ingalls Rink. The Big Red will close out the road-weekend series against the no. 14-ranked Brown Bears on Saturday, November 9th at Meehan Auditorium.

Union/RPI Recap
Union: 

Despite a second-half resurgence, the #9 Cornell women's ice hockey team falls to Union 3-2 on Friday afternoon at Lynah Rink. The Big Red dropped to 1-3-1 on the season, while the Garnet Chargers improved to 5-6. 

The Big Red notched two goals in the loss. The first came in the second period from Katie Chan with Ashley Messier and Lily Delianedis being credited for the assists. The second was an unassisted goal by Delaney Fleming.\

RPI:
The no. 9-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated the Renssealer Engineers 7-0 on Saturday afternoon from Lynah Rink. Cornell improved to 2-3-1, while Rensselear dropped to 6-5-1 on the season.

Last Time Out vs Yale and Brown
Yale:
The no. 6 ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated the no. 14-ranked Yale Bulldogs at Ingalls Rink on Saturday evening to claim the Ivy League title.

Mckenna Van Gelder and Karel Prefontaine registered Big Red goals in the contest. Izzy Daniel (two), Grace Dwyer, and Lily Delianedis dealt assists in the game.

Brown:
The no. 6-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated Brown 2-1 in overtime at Meehan Auditorium on Friday night.

Piper Grober and Izzy Daniel registered the Big Red goals in the contest. Georgia SchiffMckenna Van GelderRory Guilday, and Grace Dwyer dealt assists in the game.

Big Red Players To Watch
Annelies Bergmann has been strong in net so far this season, saving 141 shots. Bergmann has held opponents scoreless in three games, coming in a tie versus Mercyhurst and two shutout victories against Penn State and RPI.

Captain and defense-woman Ashley Messier along with Alyssa Regalado have been catalysts for the Big Red so far this season. They both currently leads the team in points, registering five points on five assists. Messier's impact on the defensive end is felt, as they also are the top-two Cornellians in blocked shots with 10 and seven respectively..

Follow The Action
Puck drop between the Big Red and the Bulldogs is slated for 6:00 p.m. on Friday at Ingalls Rink. The contest against the Bearsis scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Meehan Auditorium. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
